As I came to work on Monday morning I looked through the emails that had come in. One of them wasn't even a question. It was only one line, one statement. Very short but the message put a lump in my throat that I continued to have all morning.
The message read "Yesterday my dad died in Iraq" I could only amagine how those few words dripped with pain. I quickly remembered that yesterday was father's day.
It seemed to me that this wounded soul was typing their few words to see if any one cared. Would there be any body that could share the pain of losing their father on father's day. It made me happy to know that we do care, we want to here the world's pain. That one of the main reasons we do what we do. Lord, help those who have no father to celebrate, and no one to help share the pain. Amen
